Satin is a more complex weave and it is often produced with finer yarn. It is woven with different machines to achieve a one-yarn-under and four-yarn-over weave. Having fewer interlaces leads to the smooth, soft and silky surface we all know and love. For this reason, satin can reach specific weights and a slightly higher quality feel than percale with the same materials.
Percale is lighter than satin. Percale is a breathable and closely woven fabric, using an equal ratio weave one-yarn-under and one-yarn-over. This achieves a high-quality balance between durability and comfort.
We are conscious of the environmental impact in the design of our products. Our sheets are made from carefully selected 100% natural cotton and linen from trusted suppliers, but they are not organic. We are creating the best quality product from natural fiber materials that are among the most durable and long-lasting materials in the world and which are also 100% recyclable.
All our sheets will fit on most of the mattresses, generally designed for any standard double-size mattress up to 35cm high. In case you have a different size mattress, we’ll be more than happy to custom make the linen you need and to send it to you in about 20-25 working days. Please contact us at [email protected]
Piping is a particular finishing technique applied in tailoring. It makes HEY ORIGINAL line unique, suiting an aesthetic and classy touch to the functionality of the heynight sheets.
Folding the sheets carefully, rather than simply rolling them up, is a great way to be able to tidy up the bedding in the closet. Here is a walkthrough for folding sheets. You will get great benefits.
Lay the sheet on a large surface with the elastic facing up and fold it in half.
Fold sheet in half again.
Fold sheet into three parts, forming a long rectangle.
Our sheets can be used immediately, as soon as they are purchased, no need to wash them. However, they are purposely made slightly larger to account for a 2%-3% shrink factor which is industry standard.
Machine wash the HEY ORIGINAL sheets on the normal cycle (maximum 40°). Wash dark colors separately from light ones. Dry at low temperature and remove sheets promptly to prevent wrinkling (better not tumble dry). We recommend ironing the sheets at a medium temperature.
For many years, thread count has been a common way of talking about the quality of sheets. Technically, the thread count means the number of threads woven together in a square inch. As a measurement, this number has influenced people to think that the more threads there are in a square inch means higher quality. However, this simple number does not recognize the quality of the thread itself, whether it is twisted or the weaving technique to make the fabric. In the end, the true quality can be different between sheets with the same thread count with different quality yarn and weave technique OR ones with a higher thread count, but with lower quality yarns etc.
We manufacture our standard size sheets for the Italian market and have designed them to perfectly fit any mattress up to 35cm high. Her below the dimensions of the mattress cover, pillowcase, top sheet and duvet bag:
We decided to initially keep in stock only the Italian standard size bedding sheets. Considering we have in-house tailoring, in case you want a specific size, please contact us at [email protected] In the e-mail, please specify: the items, the exact measures and the number of pieces you need. We’ll be more than happy to realize ad-hoc the linen you need and to send it to you in about 20-25 working days.
Our advice is to use a weight that is approximately 10% of your body weight. If your weight is somewhere in between the possible choices, we recommend rounding up to the nearest weight or selecting the lower weight (e.g. if your body weight is 65kg, we recommend buying the 7kg blanket; if your body weight is 60kg we recommend buying the 5kg blanket). For any clarification, please contact our experts at [email protected] or by calling them at +39 3289172221.
We do not currently produce a double therapeutic blanket. We believe that the therapeutic blanket does not work properly for people with significant different weights, only two sleepers with similar weights could benefit from the double therapeutic blanket. For those reasons we recommend you to purchase two single therapeutic blankets in line with the specific needs of the two sleepers.
What are the dimensions of the heynight therapeutic blankets?
The weighted blanket measures 120x120 cm. It is designed to be used both on the sofa, in the relaxing phase, and on the bed, during the sleep phase. If you would like to receive updates on our products, you can create an account on our website and subscribe to our mailing list.
Who can use the therapeutic blanket? What are the risks?
The vast majority of the population can safely use the therapeutic blanket, as proven by scientific study (https://www.researchgate.net/publication/233228002_Exploring_the_Safety_and_Therapeutic_Effects_of_Deep_Pressure_Stimulation_Using_a_Weighted_Blanket). However, we do not recommend its usage for children under the age of 2 and for those people who have difficulty removing weight on their own, as there may be a potential risk of suffocation. The weighted blanket may also be not suitable for people with the following problematics:
Sleep apnea
Asthma
Claustrophobia
Can I use the therapeutic blanket without its cover?
There are no side effect using only the padding of the therapeutic blanket. However, there are a lot of advantages using the cover:
User experience – the Heynight cover is designed to give the customer a unique experience, thanks to its softness and high comfort
Hygiene and cleanliness – it is much more practical and recommended to wash the cover alone, safeguarding the integrity of the padding of the blanket
Safety – the padding of the Heynight blanket is extremely safe, thanks to the double stitching used in the tailoring phase. However, wear and tear could damage the padding over time and favor the dispersion of the glass balls placed inside. That’s why the cover is important: in addition to avoiding wear, ensure that the dispersion of glass balls is controlled
How can I pair the heynight blanket and its cover?
The padding of the blanket is equipped with buttonholes that match perfectly with the laces inside the cover. So, to easily couple the padding and its cover, follow the steps below:
Tie the 3 laces positioned inside the cover on the opposite side of the closing zip to the 3 buttonholes on one of the 2 short sides of the padding
Insert the padding until you meet the buttonholes on the long side and match them with the laces of the cover positioned at the same height as the buttonholes
Finally, tie the 3 laces on the side of the zip with the 3 respective buttonholes and close the zipper.
What is the weighted blanket The Original made of?
The heynight therapeutic blanket consists of an inner weighted padding and a cover.
The inner padding is filled with glass beads, fully enclosed in two layers of 100% cotton.
The cover, 100% made in Italy, is a weave of threads from 70% regenerated cotton, 20% acrylic, 4% polyester, 3% nylon and 3% viscose. *The 30% of non-regenerated cotton makes it possible to use the regenerated cotton itself, as they provide added strength and durability to the cover.
How should I wash the heynight weighted blanket The original?
Machine wash your cover on cold (max 30 °C) and delicate cycle. Do not tumble dry the cover but iron it at moderate temperature. An alternative is to dry clean the cover. Hand wash your heavy padding. Do not tumble dry or iron, not even dry clean.
You can absolutely iron your HEY ESSENTIAL and HEY EXCLUSIVE sheets, if you want! However, the strong fabrics and crispy linen should keep them in good shape even after washing. If you don't want to iron, we recommend that you remove them from the dryer as soon as the cycle ends. We suggest ironing our HEY ORIGINAL, to revive the softness and comfort of our satin.
All heynight sheets are manufactured in Italy, and therefore Made in Italy. The fabrics used for our sheets are OEKO-TEX® certified. Our HEY EXCLUSIVE, linen 100%, are also GOTS certified.

Each heynight weighted blanket is made of two components: the cover and the inner blanket. All the blankets feature the same weighted inner but duvet covers of different materials. The Original Weighted Blanket has a duvet cover made of rigenerated cotton, warm and super soft.
